NPR must love Abigail Washburn, who has been featured quite a bit lately<\/a>. \u00c2\u00a0I don't mind. \u00c2\u00a0 I've gotten into learning about Washburn ever since I saw her Tiny Desk Concert<\/a> and listened to her new album\u00c2\u00a0City of Refuge<\/a>. <\/em>Yesterday, she was interviewed on All Things Considered<\/em><\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0Fascinated by her connections to China (she was going to practice law there until she got a recording contract!), I particularly enjoy her rendition<\/a> (YouTube) of Kangding Qingge<\/a>. \u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0BTW, Washburn is married to the legendary banjoist B\u00c3\u00a9la Fleck<\/a>, whom\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0I only recently came upon because of his appearance in Bach and Friends<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
