\nweblogging<\/A>? It has not been for the lack of saying, "Let me
\ntry again. I promise, dear readers, this time will be different."
\nAlthough my weblogs have been very sleepy, I am succeeding in writing
\nin my wiki<\/A> in an
\nalmost daily fashion. Yeah! In quite a few ways, I find the wiki to
\nbe a publishing environment more conducive to my way of working. I
\nlike the way in which I can accumulate materials in a logical,
\nnetworked way much more easily than I could in a blog. Certainly, I
\nfound that my wiki was missing a chronological framing, which I have
\nhalf-heartedly shoehorned into my wiki with the "Daily
\nNotes"<\/A>. (I say shoehorned because the navigational
\nstructures are currently very weak.)
\n<\/P>

\nWeblogs are perhaps an easier way to navigate the chronological
\naspects of my online presence. My weblogs could provide another layer
\nof redaction. The wiki -- at least the way I use it -- is a messier
\nplace. I did not want everyone to have to follow the muck if they did
\nnot want to. Moreover, the separate personal and professional weblogs
\nwas a big attempt to distinguish my personal and private worlds. The
\nwiki conflates the two. I have thought about building a personal and
\nprivate wiki -- and that might still happen -- but for the moment,
\nmaintaining two wikis for the personal\/private split is too much
\nwork. (That is not to say, however, that I won't want to spin off ad
\nhoc wikis or ones for the Scholar's Box, a group project.)

\nhelpful. Maintaining a two-tier web presence meant writing stuff
\nfirst in my wikis and then transfer\/repurpose materials for my

\nthat the big problem was that I did not leave enough time for the
\nediting and republishing process. I want to see now whether I can

\nnovo<\/A> creation of blog entries. I don't seem to have any problems
\nwith writing on my wiki. But when I sat down to blog immediately, I
\nfroze. There was too much pressure I was putting on myself to write
\nreally good stuff without giving myself room to doodle and noodle.
